1. The rim rock crowned snake is a cryptic species and a burrower. 2. "' Rim Rock Drive "'is a scenic road in Colorado National Monument. 3. Today, they can be found on the steep slopes and high rim rocks . 4. The construction of the Rim Rock Drive destroyed portions of the Serpents Trail. 5. Much of the material came from Rim Rock Drive construction. 6. The trailhead is located near the eastern entrance of the park on Rim Rock Drive. 7. The "'rim rock crowned snake "'is currently listed as threatened by the State of Florida. 8. This trail is accessible by parking lots at both ends, both located off Rim Rock Drive. 9. Only the relatively gentle upper section of the trail was incorporated into Rim Rock Drive in 1939-40. 10. It is mostly grasslands surrounded by rim rocks and gently rolling hills covered in Western juniper and Ponderosa pine trees.
